Inspecting The Bird Collection

The Department of Biological Sciences houses a diverse research and teaching collection of avian specimens from Manitoba and around the world. The collection contains more than 2400 specimens, comprised of 160 genera and 350 species. The collection is actively used in Biology of Birds (BIOL 4216) and is accessible to UM researchers and those abroad. Please contact curator Kevin Fraser for further details.
